The constant f/2.8 maximum aperture provides consistent performance and illumination throughout its zoom range and is made for working in low light conditions and for working with selective focus techniques. Three precision glass mold aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements are used to minimize spherical and chromatic deviation throughout the zoom range in order to produce a high degree of sharpness and clarity image.
