Read our latest blog and pick a camera on rent at gpcamerrental.com

Vlogging setup for beginners

So Vlogging is kind of an important part of the YouTube culture, and it’s actually expanded beyond YouTube. A lot of people just in general, are vlogging to connect with their audience. Vlogs are an important part of businesses nowadays.

So to connect with your audiences, vlogs allow you to step into your world and give your audience a kind of behind-the-scenes look at you, and your life. Now, with that said, not everyone’s gonna be vlogging and doing the whole daily vlogging thing, unless you are a specific daily vlogger.

So for making the perfect vlog you need to know about how to shoot a blog and before that, you should know what you will need to shoot a blog.

The Tools

These are few things that you will need to create your vlog. First, and most important you will need a camera. So the essentials are a camera. And beyond the camera, a stick or a tripod, to hold the camera, and a microphone, to capture better audio. At the very basic, that is the vlogger’s setup, and that is the essentials that you need.

Now personally, depending on the situation, I’ve had different variations of this. Sometimes I just use a camera by itself, but that’s just because of the situation that I’m in.

One camera that’s really good for vlogging is the GoPro, it’s just an easy camera to have in your pocket, and take it wherever you need to go. It’s also waterproof, shockproof, all that good stuff. And it captures a decent image that’s wide. So you can hold it out, out away from your face, and you can get at that good shot, and there are also some extra features on the GoPro, which help out a lot.

Another camera, which most of you have in your pocket right now, is your phone. And your phone is an important tool because you have it with you, it’s there all the time, and it captures good video, it captures good audio. So it’s a great camera to start with, to learn how to vlog, and to do all that.

But if you want to step it up, and you wanna actually get better at vlogging, you’re gonna wanna use a bigger camera, with a microphone.

Personally, you can use the Panasonic GH5, the GH4, Sony A6500, and Sony A6300.

Vloggers should have smaller cameras, something that’s not super heavy, but something that can also bring a microphone into.

The microphones you can use for recording audio for your vlogs is the Rode VideoMic Pro. Comprises of great microphone, to get a good sound out of doing vlogs, and doing videos on the go.

And the last piece is the stick. A lot of people use a JOBY Tripod, for a smaller footprint you can use a little mini tripod. It works well, it allows you to set the camera down, and still have that tripod shot, but then also, you can hold it as a stick, and it’s not as big as the JOBY.

And that is your basic vlogging kit. And one more thing, about the camera that you’re using, you just gotta use the camera that makes sense, in the situation that you’re filming.

So if you were doing something like river rafting so we’re gonna be just using the GoPro, because it’s waterproof, it’s easy to have on me. It can be attached to your helmet, or attach it to a stick.

And then I can pull it off, and also flog with it. So if you’re in a situation where you don’t want

To destroy your camera, because you’re in water or snow, holding a bigger camera with a microphone

Doesn’t make sense, just use a smaller camera, something that works for the situation.

But, if you do have the bigger setup, you’re gonna wanna use that as much as possible, because you want to get the best footage you can possible, no matter what situation you’re shooting.

Shooting

This is the fun part of making your vlog, shooting all the content, going and doing the adventure, and exploring and capturing it.

But there’s a lot more to shooting, than just going out and just going for it, and just shooting every little bit about your day.

So to shoot an interesting vlog, you’re gonna need to have a story, you’re gonna have to have a journey of some sort, or be going to an event.

Like there’s gotta be some sort of story that goes throughout your day. And you gotta think of it as a film. You gonna make a film every day, not a vlog. And that’s the whole thing, you gotta treat it as a film.

When you’re shooting a film, you have a story, you have a beginning, a middle, and an end, and you tell your story through a plot.

And a plot could be a hero’s journey, it could be a quest, it could be a tragedy like there are different ways to think about story and story structure.

From my personal experience, I urge you to shoot your vlogs first from rental cameras and accessories and get an idea of how to use them for a particular vlog. As I mentioned earlier you need to shoot your vlog from different equipment depending upon the situation. But it’s not easy and affordable for everybody to own every kind of camera for every kind of situation. So what should we do?

Don’t worry renting cameras and accessories is safe and the best possible solution anyone could get.

Explore different rental websites and rent out the camera according to your need. Personally just go and explore GPcamerarental for the best and exclusive products. you can also check out their deals on gppro.in

The post Beginners Vlogging setup first appeared on GP.

Read our latest blog and rent a camera on gpcamerarental.com

Renting a camera and their equipment is the only vocation in life where we are opting for a better option than just straight buying it.

Renting a camera and its accessories is a good step to follow as it has more advantages than buying it on first look. So the first question that arises

Is renting a camera and Lenses before buying it is helpful?

Renting out the same camera we want to buy can be helpful to you in many ways. You can analyze the product and use it before making your mind to buy it. You can actually use it and explore its functions and can make up your mind whether it stands to your expectations for what you want to buy it.

You can try every possible brand you want to buy before actually buying it. You can use a different alternate camera for the reason you want to buy a camera. You have options to choose from for your purchase.

It is known as market researching. So renting out cameras can be your market research.

As a professional photo or videographer, you know the values of lenses we use for the shoots. But is it possible for an individual to buy every possible lens available in the market?

No, then what is the straight-gone solution for this? Renting them out and use different lenses on different camera which can make you an expert in handling different camera and lenses providing a boost in your knowledge and experience.

Another advantage you’ll enjoy if you rent camera gear is it gives you time to build up your budget to purchase the camera you really want to buy. And you’re never going to find the camera you really want to buy if you don’t get to play with it hands-on by renting it in the first place.

Can Renting lenses and camera gears develop your skills?

Yes, it can boost and upgrade your skills and knowledge both outside the theoretical way. It can help you in giving your practical knowledge a big boost. For example, if you are an architecture photographer so you mostly use still lenses for shoots which allow you to allows you to adjust the focal plane on an angle with the camera sensor.

But if you are not a photographer who is interested in architecture but still wants to play and experience the still lenses. Why not?

Here renting lenses can give you the flexibility to use them without buying them.

For some big projects, you need different types of lenses for different purposes. For example, you are going to shoot a big, fancy wedding but you don’t have the lenses and equipment required for it.

Why worry go to rental stores ad rent out the stuff you will need to complete the project and make some capital out of it.

How you can rent a camera or lenses ONLINE or OFFLINE?

In this advanced world, you have the option for both of the ways.

If you are a physical shopper and like to explore markets and products through actually seeing and sensing them, then you got many options within your locality. If you hail from the Delhi NCR region you can explore many digital markets like Lajpat Nagar, Nehru place, Connaught place, Kamala Nagar, Chandni chowk market. Personally, I recommend to you the best camera store in Delhi NCR named GP Camera Rental located in Lajpat Nagar. They deliver the best and authenticated product around the Delhi NCR.

Personally, I have rented (best rental camera) for a project and I had rent a camera for around 15 days at a reasonable price and in good condition.

You can opt for online purchases and rent too. There are many rental sites on the web just go and surf the browser according to your need and demand. Again if you are living around Delhi NCR you got plenty of options to see but according to my market research GPPRO.in comes on my preference list.

So I recommend you to go and explore the options according to your needs and choices. I tried to help you in some way.

Have a good day and enjoy your photography … kudos!

The post Rent a camera before buying first appeared on GP.

In this modern world technology and gadgets plays an important role in an individual’s life. Gadgets like mobile phones, laptops, and gaming consoles have become popular among people. Everyone nowadays carries their gadgets as a part of their own.

In this new era, people are making their living with new work cultures like social media, YouTube, blogging, and cinematography. And for making their content attractive and eye-catching, every content creator wants to use new and latest equipment for their videos and content. And now this is where a camera came to work as an important part of daily lifestyle.

Now the question arises whether buying a camera is a good option or renting a camera is more preferable?

As for the fact, buying a camera is a good option if you want to stick to a particular camera or lens just for your personal use and hobby but it is quite hard for an individual to buy every lens and camera if they are using it professionally. Every new Project and shoot site needs some specific gear for the best shot and for that, you need to have every camera gear available in the market.

The camera industry changes every day, cameras with more advanced features are introduced every single day. The camera becomes outdated quickly as some new camera with more features is available next day. But can you buy every possible camera you like? What if it is more expensive than you expect? Whether buying a new camera and lenses are worth it, can you make it your return on investment from those particular gears?

All the questions and doubts have a simple and straight answer in front of you. If you are a professional and trying to make living and money out of it. You need to be an expert in handling every possible and advanced level camera and lenses. For that, you have to use that particular camera and its equipment. And affording every camera is not possible for everyone. This is where renting a camera and lenses makes it more cost-effective.

You to do a little bit of math and figure out the answer yourself please list down all the trips you’ve been to in the last two years. It could even be a weekend out or it could be a day trip birding out in Bangalore or Bombay or wherever. Now, apart from that, I’d like you to make a list of all the camera equipment that you used on all of these trips and calculate the cost of hiring camera equipment in the last two years if you had hired them or if you did hire them. Now that comes up to a particular number and now look at the cost of actually procuring this equipment if this cost of hiring it is not below 15 to 20 percent of actually obtaining this equipment or buying this equipment then it doesn’t make business sense or economical smart sense to be investing on this camera gear because it will take you nearly five to six years to break-even this cost. You know what happens in the world of cameras, in five years the camera is obsolete and it’s time for you to buy another camera so you’ll be as good as just being renting all the time. If you don’t travel 40-50 to 60 days in a year which is one-fifth of a year and you don’t use camera equipment for 50-60 days in a year you would be better off simply hiring equipment from a rental store rather than investing your hard-earned capital on investing on equipment which is not just sitting idle in your house but are also depreciating the value of a 600-millimeter lens.

Today is not the same one year later and two years later so you’re depreciating the value of this equipment in this era of all of us using these shared cars and taxis in Olas and ubers it makes no sense to own a car if you don’t use it regularly likewise the same logic with camera equipment as well if your usage is not very high you should not be investing on camera gear and making it sit in your house and not do anything and also develop fungus and for which you’ll now have to invest on more camera equipment like buying a dehumidifier to keep your camera equipment safe. So if you’re not using your camera for more than fifty days in a year let’s keep that as a thumb rule it makes no sense for you to buy the equipment you’re better off hiring it paying whatever you want and the biggest advantage of hiring it is let’s say you’re going on a mammal photography trip like let’s say to Ran tambour Ramon at photograph Tigers, you need a 400-millimeter lens for example and next month you’re going to let’s say Corbett or let’s say Pongo to make photographs of birds where 400millimeter is a little short you can be using a 600-millimeter lens. You go to Ladakh to photograph Snow Leopard you can be using an 800-millimeter lens, so don’t get married to just one lens and hire it or buy it and keep it in your house it’s a great idea to hire what you need for that particular day and that particular trip so my choice is to be able to hire equipment when you want to. Unless you know you shoot a lot and buy equipment like let’s say a 70 to 200-millimeter lens which you need for every trip in every place and you shoot more than 50-60 days a year.

So renting a camera is a better and great option than buying a camera because it gives you the flexibility to use that one camera for that particular time but it also gives you an option to switch up to something upgraded if you want.

Just Explore and Decide

The post Why Renting a Camera is more beneficial than buying a new Camera? first appeared on GP.
